Hi! I’m Adrienne.

When I meet other SLPs and tell them what I do, one of the most common questions I’m asked is “How did you get started in telepractice?” My telepractice journey began in 2008 when I was working for a charter school in a rural town. The school principal gave me the green light to do a pilot program with a few of my students, and the telepractice seed was planted. I immediately fell in love with telepractice and have never turned back!

When I was first getting started with telepractice, there was limited information about where to begin. Today there is so much information that it can be overwhelming at times. That’s why I created this blog–so you do not have to spend HOURS searching for answers like I did.

After working as a speech-language pathologist and providing services via telepractice, I worked as a manager for a department of telepractice SLPs for several years. Then, over a decade after getting my Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Penn State University, I went back to school to pursue an MBA in Business Administration. I completed my program in two years, while working, raising an infant, and starting a business. What was I thinking?! Don’t worry–I went back to school so you don’t have to!

I started my own telepractice business, Online Speech Services LLC, which specializes in online speech therapy, accent modification, and public speaking coaching. I also teach college-level Business Management and Entrepreneurship courses in my “spare time.” 

Over the past 10 years, I have trained over a thousand speech-language pathologists in appropriate telepractice service delivery. 

Since obtaining my MBA, I’ve also started helping other SLPs with the business side of their practice.
