TELETHERAPY LESSON PLANS! These Thanksgiving-themed speech therapy lesson plans are designed to address speech and language skills for elementary students receiving speech therapy services via teletherapy. These lesson plans are appropriate for students working on a variety of goals, including:
- Articulation
- Vocabulary
- Grammar
- Comprehension
- Answering questions
- Fluency
If you are an SLP who works with elementary students via teletherapy, you need to have fun and engaging activities that are motivating for the students. I use a different theme for each session, which is consistent throughout all of my direct intervention materials.
This download includes three lesson plans that cover three levels:
- Level 1: K-1st grade
- Level 2: 2nd-3rd grade
- Level 3: 4th-5th grade
The lesson plans include:
- Recommended e-books (Epic books)
- Open Ended Board Game Boom Cards™
Each lesson plan follows my standard template for planning telepractice sessions for elementary students. Each of the three fall themed lesson plans follow the following format:
- Vocabulary activity (Word Wall)
- Read a book (recommended ebook)
- Digital activities to address goals (interactive website or Boom Cards™)
This download consists of 11 pages, which include:
- Lesson plans (3 pages)
- Word wall (1 page)
- Vocabulary lists (1 page)
- Boom Card™ deck (1 deck)
- Table of contents, terms of use, etc. (5 pages)
All of the activities require no prep and are appropriate for telepractice or in person speech therapy sessions. If you choose to use the open-ended board games, you will need to select your own stimulus items. I am a telepractice speech-language pathologist, so all of the materials that I’ve created work well via telepractice. However, these lesson plans are also well-suited for in-person intervention, and can be used for group instruction for pull-out or push-in speech therapy in schools.
I use these lesson plans in my own practice, and they have been a LIFESAVER!
