Spring Themed Telepractice Activities

Spring is in the air, and this is the perfect time to share Spring and Easter themed activities for you to use with your preschool and school-aged children in your speech teletherapy sessions.

I have compiled a list of themed activities, sorted by grade levels PreK-6th. In my own practice, I usually select three to four activities that can be customized to address each child’s goals and use them throughout the week. I’m providing many more than four options below, but I hope these activities will help simplify your speech therapy lesson planning for this Spring. Make sure that you are providing culturally appropriate services and acknowledge that not everyone celebrates Easter.

Before we get to the list, here are a couple quick tips:

  1. If you need stimulus items to accompany any of the general reinforcers, I like to use www.homespeechhome.com or their mobile World Vault app.
  2. Use CTRL+F (Windows) or COMMAND+F (Mac) to quickly search for your desired grade level in this post. Enter your grade level or goal area, and all of the activities that match your search on this page will be highlighted. Enjoy!

Preschool and Kindergarten Telepractice Activities

I created spring themed lesson plans for preschool and early intervention that can also be used with your Kindergarten kids.

This includes nine spring themed lesson plans that follow the following format:

  1. Read a book
  2. Watch a video
  3. Activity to elicit language
  4. Parent/e-helper coaching

The nine themes included in this download are Rainbow (2), Garden (2), Easter, Bunnies (2), Ducks, and Butterflies. These lesson plans include a combination of:

  • A list of recommended websites and physical materials for providers and families
  • Five coloring worksheet alternatives for those who may not have recommended toys
  • Two Boom Card™ decks
  • Suggested prompts to use to elicit language

The coloring worksheets can be sent to parents or e-helpers to print for use during your teletherapy sessions.
